Croatian Institute for Cyber Security (HIKS) and “Cyber resilience in a connected world”

HIKS

Boost d.o.o. has recently become a proud member of the Croatian Institute for Cybersecurity (HIKS).

HIKS has been operating since 2016 and brings together the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek – FERIT, companies Atos Croatia, Ato engineering d.o.o. Osijek, Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as other companies, institutions and professionals working in the field of cyber security.

The main goal and vision stated on the website is the improvement of information security in the Republic of Croatia, providing its members, experts in the field of cyber security and the general population with the opportunity for knowledge exchange, education, and professional growth.

Through best practices and promoting general awareness of the security industry, HIKS has a vision to provide members with the knowledge and resources to address various cyber, information, software, and infrastructure security issues to provide added value to the community. Also, HIKS wants to carry out activities to improve the professional values and goals of the cybersecurity industry and provide support for issues of interest to the information and security community and its membership.

As members of HIKS, we participated in the event “Cybersecurity Sessions – powered by HIKS” with the theme “Cyber resilience in a Connected World”.

The event discussed the latest challenges in the field of cybersecurity and their impact on the operations of companies in Croatia and new announced regulatory, standardization and organizational measures that will have a significant impact on the Croatian economy.

Cybersecurity Sessions was attended by HIKS members, eminent experts from the security industry who shared their experiences, perspectives and examples from practice and gave insight into trends and future key changes expected in our economy due to the adoption of the new European NIS2 directive and other Initiatives of the European Union in the field of information security and coordinated joint actions and projects.
