ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

ISO 9001

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management. It is also one of the first and most common norms that organizations implement. It is applicable to all organizations, regardless of the type of activity and size of the organization.

As an international standard, ISO 9001:2015 is recognized as the foundation on which every organization will build a system that will ensure customer satisfaction and improve business quality.  Many organizations require having a certificate as a minimum requirement for an organization to become a supplier.

A quality management system (QMS) is a set of policies, processes, documented procedures, and records that define internal rules that will prescribe how an organization makes and delivers a product or service.

The quality management system must be compliant with the needs of the organization, and the products and services provided by the organization. The ISO 9001 standard provides guidance to make sure the organization has not missed the important elements needed to successfully implement the QMS.

The standard is based on eight management principles that reflect good business practices, and their application fully achieves the improvement of the organization’s results:

  1. Customer focus
  2. Management
  3. Involvement of people in achieving goals
  4. Process approach
  5. Systematic approach to management
  6. Permanent improvement
  7. Fact-based decision-making
  8. Partnership with suppliers

With ISO 9001 certification, you prove that your company is committed to quality, and it also serves as a measure of your progress towards better business results.
